Good questions.
Honest answers.

Everything people usually ask before we start working together, from who I work with to why nobody can promise you a magazine cover.

Who do you work with?

Mostly with brands that create more than products: architecture and interior design studios, furniture and product brands, fashion and lifestyle labels, hotels, restaurants and hospitality brands, artists, photographers, cultural organisations and other creative businesses.

If your work is thoughtful but your communication has not quite caught up with it yet, we will probably get along.

Is Bits of Brand an agency?

Not in the usual sense. Bits of Brand is intentionally independent, which means you work directly with me, without account managers, layers of approval or a junior team quietly learning on your project.

When a project needs extra expertise, I bring in people from a trusted international network of writers, translators and creative professionals, and you always know who is involved.

What exactly can you help with?

Three things, which tend to work best together: marketing and strategy (positioning, communication planning, SEO, email and digital campaigns), PR and media relations (press releases, media outreach, editorial opportunities and PR strategy) and content and copywriting (website copy, editorial content and brand messaging).

I also help with awards strategy and submissions, from choosing the right projects to writing entries that a jury will actually enjoy reading.

Can you guarantee media coverage?

No, and you should be a little suspicious of anyone who does. Editors decide what they publish, which is precisely why their coverage is worth having.

What I can promise is a clear angle, press material that editors can actually use, and outreach to publications that are genuinely relevant to your work rather than a list of every email address on the internet.

How does a project start?

With a conversation about your brand, your work and what you would like to change. From there the process follows four steps: the deep dive, where I get to know your brand and the details that make it yours; the big idea, where we find the strategy behind the story; the story build, where the communication takes shape; and the spotlight, where the right people discover it.

How much does it cost?

Every brief is different, so I quote per project once I understand what you need. A press campaign for a single launch is a very different animal from ongoing marketing support, and it would be unfair to price them as if they were the same.

Tell me a little about your project and I will come back with a clear proposal and no hidden extras.

Do you only work with clients in Croatia?

Not at all. I am based in Croatia and work with clients internationally. I work in English and Croatian, and Chinese brands looking at Europe, the UK or the US can also communicate in Mandarin through the 中文 page.

How long before we see results?

It depends on the goal. A strong pitch for a timely story can land within weeks, while positioning, SEO and recognition are built over months, by returning to the same meaningful ideas from different angles. I will always tell you honestly which of the two we are dealing with.

What should I prepare before we talk?

Nothing elaborate. Your website, a few words about the project or the challenge, any images or press material you already have and the markets or audiences you would like to reach are more than enough. If things are still a bit scattered, sorting them out is part of the job.
